If I Could Be a Character From a Book, I'd Be…

Standard

I read this book when I was 13 years old (close to 2 decades ago, when I was a tomboy and mostly an outsider) and the character Ayla stuck with me even though now I don't remember much of the story. In fact, I could not even recall the name of the book until Google stepped in 5 minutes ago.

I'd probably have to read the book again to determine whether I'd give up the conveniences and knowledge of present day to kick it in Ayla's time but she definitely made an impression on my then ‘newly-teenaged’ brain! And for that alone, she deserves first consideration 😉
